Mohammed Mbaruk Mazrui is a Cash Waqf based on the tenets of Islam, as a means of permanent dedication by a person professing Islam, of any movable or immovable property for any purpose recognized by the Muslim law as pious, religious or charitable and includes:

Grants, including mushrut-ul-khidmat for any purpose recognised by the Muslim law as pious, religious or charitable.
A wakf-alal-aulad to the extent to which the property is dedicated for any purpose recognised by Muslim law as pious, religious or charitable.

Support and assist destitute Students who cannot afford Madrasa fees.

To assist and provide reading materials to needy students

To support and assist Madrasa teachers by conducting training to update their skills and knowledge

Scholarships for Madrasa

To provide and seek scholarships for Madrasa students to pursue higher education in Islamic studies.

Hemed Mohamed Mazrui

Waqf Founder

Has worked in both private and public sectors in the areas of Human Rights, Legistlative fellowship, Marketing and Tourism among other duties. His career spans over fifteen years honed by technical trainings in Analytics, Research and Policy practice. His areas of research works include challenges of national security management in a devolved system.

Amb. Ali Abbas,MBS

Waqf Chairman

A career diplomat and has worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya for 38 years in various capacities. Amb Abbas started his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1981 as a Third Secretary in Middle East Division and was appointed Ag.Head Middle East Division from August 1982 to May 1983…

Waqf Secretary

Currently the Chief Executive Officer of Wakf Commission of Kenya and Council Member of The Union of NGOs of the Islamic World based in Turkey. He is one of the Founder and Director- General of African Foundation for Education and Community Development (AFECoD) based in Kenya.
